The BlueGate cloud service relieves of the necessity to establish an own IT infrastructure to manage and control BlueBox systems. The primary object of this service is to make the operator's access to his BlueBox installation as easy and straightforward as possible. Current and historical data has to be accessible in a clear representation and the operational safety secured by automatic data backup and prompt information in case of alerts or loss of communication. The main focus lies on the security aspect, all communications over public networks between BlueBox- BlueGate- and customer systems are handled with a consequent application of encrypted protocols.

| The BlueGate Cloud Service features a Gateway function, which acts as an address intermediary between the measurement systems and the workstation computer of the employee. Thereby, it is possible to make allowances for changing IP addresses or restrictions of firewalls. The connection between the measurement system and the server are constantly monitored and connection problems are promptly reported. A steady and secure system access to the BlueSense-, BlueBox-, BlueMon- and Multi-Parameter-Systems is therefore guaranteed. |  |
| Data aggregation & Backup

 | In a hosted database data and status messages are collected from the connected systems and facilities. They can be accessed and analyzed via the web frontend in clear representation (data browser function) and transferred to local database and backup using the BlueGate backup function. Besides online data review and analytics the BlueGate web service provides an automatic offsite backup.

| Data can be visualized and analyzed in the web browser and exported to portable standard formats like csv or excel sheets for later processing. With the real-time process data visualisation you will always have control over the status of the monitored water facilities. All functions are designed for the application on mobile devices like smart phones or tablets.

 | In addition to the manifold possibilities of information and messaging on the measurement systems level the BlueGate web service provide an extra centralized information resource. The automatic sending of short messages, email or other notifications in the case of limit value violations or other trigger events is flexible and highly customizable.
Another safety aspect is the monitoring of the data link, any loss of communication will be reported immediately. Scenarios involving local radio interferences or cable damage at the site of the facility remains not unnoticed. As a consequence the reaction times are minimal with a gain of operational safety. |
